Meet one of the unsung heroes of Reykjavík. Probably not a full time gig to be a tree-cutter in Iceland but essential nonetheless! Of course they plant more than they cut down 😉 The trees in question were rotting from the inside due to age! Believe or not, over 100 years old and likely to fall anytime soon and causing damage. The attention sign is also a rare gem and not mass-produced for sure.

Graduation 🍾 celebrations in MR today. tradition in high school involves costumes and scavenger hunt in Ironically the celebrations are held ahead of taking end term exams and receiving results. Some fortunate ones get to celebrate this day more than once 😆

No April fool here. Eruption 🌋 today and it's location is partially within the man-made walls protecting Grindavík. Town has been evacuated. Flights are fine and the airport long distance away. This screenshot comes from www.visir.is live camera

Icelandic Security Protocols 😅 The gate to block vehicles from entering the street in front of Parliament has been broken for a month and out of operation. It has been solved with an orange cone standing there for a week now. 🇮🇸
