It is a surreal feeling to glide on top of the melt water amongst ice bergs that come from the glacier! It is even better to then strap crampons onto your feet and walk up onto the ice!

We are on holiday down in New Zealand right now.

The other day we saw some dolphins whilst driving down the coast so we pulled over and quickly inflated the boats and got out there. Guðný was so excited when the dolphins came up to us that she just jumped off her boat and swam around with them!

They circled around us over and over and it was nice to experience these amazing creatures in their own habitat :)

The Glacier Hike and Kayaking Combination tour is a fantastic day out in Vatnajökull National Park! A well rounded adventure that includes exploring the glacier lagoon icebergs as well as walking on top of the volcanic ice. Love it!

It was an epic day of kayaking, glacier hiking, ice climbing and a picnic lunch on the glacier!
