Flying over glaciers and volcanoes keeps us going and that is why we base ourselves in Southern Iceland over the summer. We prefer being surrounded by majestic mountains over sitting inside the office.

Hallo Iceland and the rest of the World. Happy new year. Today January 4th 2026 we did a helicopter 🚁 ice cave scouting and we are pleased to let you know that our caves are now safe and back in use. Not only are they nice and colourful but HUMOONGUS as well. So helicopter sightseeing, then only 50 meters walk and you are in the caves in less than 3 minutes. We stay there for up to 90 minutes or longer or shorter as you want with an exsperiensed ice cave guide. All tours are private so no crowd. Few pictures follow from today. Aerial view of Skeidararsander in Iceland.
Huge quantities of meltwater flow freely and unhindered from Skeidararjökull – a glacier tongue of Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Europe – across the gently sloping floodplain of black volcanic sand to the south coast of Iceland. There it flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Because it is laden with sediment and therefore whitish-grey in colour, this water is also known as glacier milk. It also clouds the Atlantic along the coast. The alluvial plain of the entire Skeidararsander is about 1,000 square kilometres in size (Atlantsflug).
