Our peaceful located cottages Herrukot at the lake and Herrulækur at the river are waiting for you throughout the year! Ideal to visit all the famous sights in South Iceland, like Golden Circle and Diamond Beach. All cottages are well equipped and offer great views. Herrukot is with your private hot tub (for up to 6 persons), two Herrulækur - cottages with a stunning view over the river are for up to 5 persons.

We are a German-Icelandic family living on our operating farm Herríðarhóll í South Iceland. Breeding Icelandic Horses and sheep is our main business. In the summer months, we offer horseback rides from one hour to multi-day rides, both for beginners and experienced riders. Until the summer 2015, we offered only accommodation in our guesthouse from June to September, but so many guests asked for the opportunity to visit us throughout the year. That’s why we built “Herrukot at the lake” in the spring of 2015 and our guests were so happy that we built two more cottages “Herrulækur at the river” in the spring of 2018. We are glad to see that our guests feel like being at home and some of them have been coming year after year.
