Our fabulous old girl, Andrea Jensen, will be once again sailing the Alghero coastline this year. She has been sailing from Alghero Port for 21 years! Come aboard for an unforgettable day trip, taking in the sites and enjoy a fresh local lunch accompanied by local wines. About 4 years ago we changed the home port of Andrea Jensen from Falmouth to Leith, port of Edinburgh. She is berthed all year round in Alghero, Sardinia, (from where we offer day sailing trips) and has never been to Leith as far as we are aware. Maybe one day we will sail her back to Scotland you never know?

Finishing touches for our wonderful old girl this morning. Anodes going on and then back into the Mediterranean tomorrow for Andrea Jensen. Thanks to the very talented Packer our volunteer carpenter who has worked along side us here in Bosa. Alghero here we come!

We have been hard at work here in Bosa. We have sanded, cleaned, caulked, filled, sanded more and now we have the final stage to complete, the top coat and anti-fouling. But will we get this done before the rain starts?

Just some of our fabulous volunteers over the years 'learning the ropes' and helping us aboard Andrea Jensen for the summer season in Sardinia. We have had people from all over the globe join us and living aboard for 4 to 8 weeks as volunteers. All you need is to be aged over 18, fit, enthusiastic to learn quickly what it takes to keep our guests comfortable and safe during our daily sailing excursion. A good command of English is also required and the ability to get stuck in when needed, especially exciting is learning to sail this traditional gaff ketch. We are licensed to carry 12 passengers. Our gaff rigged ketch from 1939 is for sale! We have spent 10 years upgrading and maintaining our lovely old girl. We lift out in March in Bosa. We are heading back to Sardinia with Smokey to move onboard Andrea Jensen Sailing for the 2025 summer season. Our adorable Sardinian cat (she adopted us over 2 years ago in Alghero Port) has travelled with us to the furthest north of Scotland (Latheronwheel), Falkirk and Newcastle during our extended UK stay. I cannot say she has loved every minute (she prefers warmer climes) and I am sure she will relish being afloat again. I hope she remembers how to navigate our passarella? Next stop Porto Torres, Sardinia.
