Our gorgeous region ... which places do you recognize?!

La storia della Toscana è intrisa di vicende tra città contrapposte, in perenne confronto reciproco, anche nella realizzazione di monumenti di grande valore artistico ed architettonico e non stupisce che ogni insediamento dovesse essere costruito con le caratteristiche di un borgo fortificato ben protetto da mura e bastioni.

In Toscana ci sono 78 borghi storici di cui ben 32 -- numero record in Italia -- detentori della bandiera arancione, quella assegnata dal Touring Club ai piccoli comuni dell'entroterra capaci di abbinare lo sviluppo alla sostenibilità ambientale e territoriale
