One of the city’s most beautiful Baroque landmarks.

🌊 Take a dip at Cala Porta Vecchia
A tiny beach right by the historic centre, with crystal-clear water and the old town as your backdrop.

🍦 Stop for gelato
Because no Italian summer day is complete without one.

🍝 Eat local
Fresh seafood, pasta and a panino by the harbour are exactly the kind of simple pleasures Monopoli does best.

Υπάρχουν πόλεις που δεν προσπαθούν να σε εντυπωσιάσουν με την πρώτη ματιά… απλώς σε κερδίζουν σιγά σιγά. Η Monopoli είναι μία από αυτές.

Περπατώντας στα στενά της παλιάς πόλης, ανάμεσα στα λευκά σπίτια, τα μικρά σοκάκια και το λιμανάκι με τις ψαρόβαρκες, νιώθεις ότι βρίσκεσαι σε μια αυθεντική γωνιά της Ιταλίας, μακριά από τη βιασύνη.

⛪️Ξεχωρίσαμε την υπέροχη Basilica Cattedrale di Maria Santissima della Madia, με την εντυπωσιακή της πλατεία, αλλά και τις όμορφες μικρές εκκλησίες που κρύβονται μέσα στα σοκάκια, όπως η Chiesa di Santa Maria del Suffragio (Il Purgatorio) και η Chiesa di San Francesco d’Assisi.

🍔Και φυσικά, ένα ταξίδι στην Ιταλία δεν γίνεται χωρίς τις μικρές γαστρονομικές απολαύσεις… Απολαύσαμε εξαιρετικά panini στο Gran Caffè Santa Caterina, με αυτή τη μοναδική ιταλική απλότητα που κάνει τα απλά πράγματα να μοιάζουν ξεχωριστά.

☕️Για τον καφέ μας επιλέξαμε το Caffè Letterario, ένα ιδιαίτερο μέρος με χαρακτήρα, όπου μπορείς απλά να καθίσεις, να χαλαρώσεις και να απολαύσεις την ατμόσφαιρα της πόλης.

Η Monopoli δεν είναι ένα μέρος που απλώς επισκέπτεσαι… είναι ένα μέρος που θέλεις να περπατήσεις χωρίς πρόγραμμα, να χαθείς στα στενά της και να κρατήσεις τις μικρές στιγμές.

Burada öyle bir sakinlik var ki, insan gezerken fark etmeden yavaşlıyor.

Daracık sokaklarında yürümek, denize karşı oturmak, akşamüstü ışığını izlemek… Sanki kimsenin hiçbir yere yetişmesi gerekmiyor. En sevdiğim his de bu oldu🤍

Puglia rotasına mutlaka eklemeniz gereken duraklardan biri burası 🇮🇹
