For the fifth year in a row, our region ranks first in Italy for bathing water quality: 99.7% are excellent and 0.3% good, according to microbiological analyses conducted by the Italian Environmental Protection System (SNPA) between 2021 and 2024.

🌳Bosco delle Pianelle, from being a shelter for bandits, has become a natural unspoiled oasis, along the slopes of the namesake ravine, where one can relax, surrounded by the green.

The regional nature reserve Bosco delle Pianelle covers 1,205 hectares in the area of Martina Franca, on the border with the Municipalities of Crispiano and Massafra.

The gravina di Laterza, (Laterza’s ravine) stretches for 12 km and in some areas it is also 500 metres large. Here you can experience the ancient origin of the city, admiring several rocky churches and the evidence left by man since the prehistory.
