🇮🇹Ci sono tour che fai per gli altri, dove ti dai e loro prendono.

Poi ci sono questi — tour emozionali, alla ricerca delle radici di chi è partito e non è più tornato.
Vedi il tuo cognome scritto a mano su un registro del 1831, e ti si stringe il cuore.

Ti cantano parole che si credeva avessero tutt’altro significato, e ne fai tesoro — perché quel ricordo custodito a lungo nello scrigno dell’anima è stato finalmente aperto, e portato a nuova vita.
Anche a me, questo tour, ha fatto bene.
È stato un po’ una cura — per la mente, il cuore e l’anima.

Then there are these: emotional journeys, tracing the roots of those who once left and never came back.

You see your family name handwritten in a register from 1832, and something inside you shifts.

Words are sung to you that were long believed to mean something else entirely — and you hold onto them, because that memory kept locked in the chest of your soul has finally been opened, and brought back to life.

This tour did something good for me, too.

It was something of a cure — for the mind, the heart, and the soul.

🏔️ Sponde del Sosio e ruderi del Castello di Gristia

Nel cuore dei Monti Sicani, un’escursione che pochi conoscono e ancora meno hanno percorso così.
Risaliremo la sponda sinistra del fiume Sosio, lo guaderemo, cammineremo tra sentieri e tratti fuori traccia fino ai ruderi dell’antichissimo Castello di Gristia — da un versante che, per quanto ne sappiamo, siamo gli unici a percorrere.
Un ponte crollato, una cresta che corre da Palazzo Adriano fino alla provincia di Agrigento, la bellezza selvatica di una Sicilia che sorprende sempre.
