On our last day we checked out Lake Orta, the hidden gem of the lake region, and Villa Lorella, one of the most exciting new gardens in Italy.

The best stop ever after being stuck in traffic on the road from Bellagio to Como for 3 hours (there was construction).
Jacopo and Silvia welcomed us with open arms for lunch and a tour of their magical villa.
Villa Cicogna never disappoints.
