🍦Gelato is the Executive Manager. He’s thick, dense, and moves slowly because he’s carrying a lot of dairy and responsibility. He insists on being served at a “slightly warmer” temperature because he’s too sophisticated for a brain freeze. He’s rich, smooth, and definitely expects a promotion.
🍧Sorbetto is the Freelancer. She’s light, flexible, and completely dairy-free. She doesn’t have the “fatty” benefits of the office, but she’s vibrant, full of fruit, and clears your head—literally acting as a palate cleanser after a heavy meeting. She’s cold and refreshing, but if things get too warm, she’s gone in a second.

If you’re visiting Italy during the festive season, you’ll quickly learn there are two kinds of people: Team Panettone and Team Pandoro.
But what’s the real difference?

🧑‍🍳PANETTONE (The Milanese Icon)
Born in Milan, its origins are wrapped in legends—the most famous tells of “Toni,” a humble scullery boy who saved a royal Christmas banquet with his sourdough bread filled with raisins and candied citrus.
The Vibe: Rich, fluffy, and aromatic. Perfect for those who love complex flavors!

👨‍🍳 PANDORO (The Veronese Star)
Hailing from the romantic city of Verona, its name means “Golden Bread” (Pan d’Oro). Its signature 8-pointed star shape was inspired by the Impressionist painter Angelo Dall’Oca Bianca.

What a summer it’s been with The Village Italy! ☀️
From Bologna and Ravenna, we explored some of the most authentic corners of Emilia-Romagna, far from the crowds and deep into the countryside.

We couldn’t miss Dozza, with its stunning open-air art during the Painted Wall Contest, or the charm of Brisighella, where we tasted its famous olive oil right at the source.

We sipped wine at the beautiful Cesari winery, snapped dreamy shots on medieval hilltop fortresses, and (of course!) indulged in unforgettable food made with real, quality ingredients. 🍝
