SYNCRO was created in 2014 by a group of youth workers coming from different experiences in the educational sector but with a common methodological focus: the use of art and creativity as tools for education and social work. The members put together their expertise in the field of non formal education developed through
many educational programs, on a European and local scale, and their work in the
youth
educational sector, both at a voluntary and professional level. The working methodologies used by SYNCRO are related to art, music, media and theatre: the
use of artistic tools is based on the belief that art can be a powerful mean to express the
complexity of social issues such as discrimination or xenophobia being universally and emotionally
understood and that it can convey a personal and therefore professional growth in all of us,
having a transversal resonance. Moreover the European dimension of the World body equips its members with working
methodologies based on non formal and experiential learning always on an intercultural basis. Currently we are developing theatre workshops in a community for youngsters coming from
difficult background: refugees, migrants, youngster coming from difficult families. There we
implement activities to give youngster space and tools for expression, promoting their social
inclusion. On an international level we are developing Erasmus Plus programmes that promote the value of interculturality through art: stimulating the creative expression of young people is a way of
enhancing their "soft skills" and therefore the employability dimension and the growth of the
youngster involved. We use media as a way to give resonance to our projects while digital competences are always
part of the key competences achieved in our programmes, both at non formal and informal time
