This house was our dream for many years. It took forever to find it - just the perfect spot - in the countryside and totally private with the most awesome view: Oaks and olive groves interrupt rows of grape vines meandering down the hillside to the lake shore. Centuries old farmhouses glow red in the early morning light... I'll stop now, Just check out the pictures and you will see what I mean.
The house is above the medieval town of Bolsena, just where the regions of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio meet. The area is known to locals as Tuscia, after the ancient Etruscans who populated the area before the Romans.
The house has a master bedroom with a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom, a large kitchen / living room, which opens out onto the terrace and garden, a bedroom with twin beds, a main bathroom with bathtub and a lounge with fireplace.
The house is a 5 minute drive to Bolsena town, which is rich in history, pageantry and, of course, food. There is pretty much everything you need in the town. The lake is also 5 minutes by car and you can windsurf, sail, waterski and swim. If you are more of a cultural bent, you can explore the literally hundreds of cultural sites, from Roman and Etruscan ruins and burial site to medieval hilltop towns and fortresses.
