✨ Record Easter Regatta: young champions en route to the Worlds 🌍⛵

From April 13-17, Portorož (Slo) hosted the Sailing Point Easter Regatta, gathering the best of international youth sailing. It was a record-breaking edition: nearly 700 Optimist class athletes from 33 countries took to the water, in an event that was much more than a regatta-for many, it was a crucial test case ahead of the 2025 World Championships, to be held right here this summer.

🏆 Among the 460 juniors competing, overall success in the Junior - Gold category went to Slovenia's Zobec Mihael, coached by our own Maurizio Bencic: a clear and well-deserved victory, the result of hard work and talent.

🏆 Winner Line Honours - Sagola Spartivento at the Roma per Tutti

Arrival in the night, after over 540 miles of hard seas, strong winds and lots of upwind. Sagola Spartivento, Peppe Fornich's Farr 45, put on a show: first across the line in real time, winner also in IRC and ORC.

A success built with cool heads, boat pulled to the maximum and a close-knit crew focused until the last mile.

🎥 Episode 8: Sea Trials – The Grand Finale�

The journey of The Making of a Superyacht Sail comes to an end with the final episode of our series. From the first sketches to full-scale production, everything has led to this moment: sea trials aboard the Inco in Gibraltar. 🌊

Once on board the yacht, INCO, we fit each sail—mainsail, jib, staysail, and Code Zero—taking time to fine-tune every detail. Because it’s not just about fitting sails. It’s about seeing innovation meet performance, and vision meet reality. Testing the sails in real-world conditions allows us to assess their behavior in different wind strengths and angles, ensuring they’re ready for whatever comes next.

The wind keeps us waiting, but when it finally arrives, the trials pick up and the sails come to life, and we get the sails furling and unfurling perfectly, just like we planned. The IFS Gennaker, with its bold orange and grey design, is a true showstopper.

The sea trials may be over, but the work isn’t done. We analyze data and visuals to refine the sails even further. Our goal? Sails that age gracefully — just like a fine wine. 🍷

A good start for OneSails NorthItaly during the LaOttanta 2025, Circolo Nautico Porto Santa Margherita, which sees victory in Line of Honours in the two North Adriatic Offshore courses with:

Numerous OneSails sailboats among the nearly 80 entered, in what confirms itself as one of the first key stages of the season and an excellent training opportunity for the most important regattas in the Adriatic, in view also of the World Double Handed 2025, which will be held in these very waters.

🎥 Episode 7: How We Deliver Full Customization

At OneSails, customization is key—whether it's performance, durability, or aesthetics, we ensure that every sail meets the exact vision of our customers. In this episode, we take a deep dive into the customization process, from selecting colors and materials to fine-tuning the final details.

This time, the request was unique: a dark gray sail body with light gray tapes, maintaining a sleek, uniform look. Achieving this required extensive testing, as different materials absorb paint differently, making color matching a challenge. But with precision and expertise, we made it happen.
We also designed and tested fully custom sail bags—built to protect the sails from UV, abrasion, and handling stress while ensuring seamless storage and transport. The finishing touch? A hint of orange, tying into the yacht’s aesthetic and adding a bold, playful detail.

Finally, after weeks of work, the sails were loaded and shipped, ready for the final stage of this journey. Our sea trial team tested them on the way back from Gibraltar to Palma, and the results? we can't wait to show it to you.

The sails have arrived in Palma: Time for the final adjustments! In this episode, we take you behind the scenes of the last steps before the sails are ready to hit the water.

From fitting the Code Zero cable to ensuring a flawless furling system, every detail matters. The choice of top-quality anti-torsion cables is crucial—precision is key to ensure the best handling of the sail. The team is also working on the finishing touches for the mainsail, jib, and staysail, integrating cutting-edge solutions such as furling batten system and carbon composite boomerang clew. With meticulous craftsmanship, we ensure that each sail maintains its perfect shape while delivering maximum performance.

OneSails' commitment to innovation is also reflected in our finishing choices—like the painted UV band, which not only enhances durability but also gives the sail a sleek, monochromatic aesthetic. With the final details coming together, the sails are almost ready… The finish line is in sight! 🏁⛵

Among the latest innovations is the revolutionary ZS™ (Zero Sag) Technology, a Structured Luff Jib designed for better performance and increased durability.
