There is one question at the heart of it all:
𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞?

In our new blog article, we explore the history of tourism in Sardinia through the voice of 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨 𝐀𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐢, written by 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐀𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐢: a journey through Alghero, Costa Smeralda, the first strategic transport connections, major hospitality investments, and the choices that changed the island’s future.

It is a story of vision, infrastructure, and opportunities seized — or missed.
And it reminds us of one essential truth:

Some images reveal what words often simplify.

For the May 2026 edition of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, 𝐷𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑜 𝑆𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑖 looks at the 𝟑𝟕𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐝𝐢 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭’𝐄𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨 through a precise detail: a procession that changed in form, but not in meaning.

This year, without the traditional oxen, Sant’Efisio moved through Cagliari carried on shoulders.

A visible difference.
And yet, through the lens, something remained exactly the same.

The devotion.
The collective rhythm.
The weight of a vow renewed by an entire community.

Because the Festa di Sant’Efisio is not folklore.
It is one of the deepest expressions of Sardinia’s living identity.

And sometimes, a photographer’s eye helps us understand what a place truly carries.

Behind every great event, there’s a team working quietly to make everything feel effortless.

And once again this year, we were proud to be part of it.

𝐅𝐀 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 worked behind the scenes of 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, helping bring the experience to life with the care, precision, and human touch that every great event deserves.

An intense and inspiring week, filled with meaningful conversations, valuable connections, and the kind of energy that reminds us why we love what we do.

Thank you to 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐍𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐈𝐐 for the trust, the collaboration, and for continuing to create an event that brings the industry together year after year.

We’re grateful to be part of the journey.

𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞.

And that may be exactly why it stays with you.

In this new article of 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐀𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐢 sits down with 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢 to talk about travel photography beyond the postcard.

A way of seeing built on time, listening, and presence.
Where every image begins before the camera.
And where representing a place means entering into relationship with it - not reducing it to a cliché.

Because behind every landscape there are stories.
People.
Gestures that cannot be staged.

And capturing them is not just a technical act.
𝐼𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑎 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦.

A conversation about Sardinia, visual storytelling, and what it really means to tell the truth of a place.

In April, 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢 brings us closer to a moment that goes beyond the image.

An encounter with 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐚, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 — and with a way of relating to matter that asks for time, silence, and attention.

Because some places, and some gestures, cannot be understood at a glance.

They require something slower.
Something deeper.

A different way of listening.

𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.

An island shaped by centuries of encounters, conquests, resistance, and unexpected autonomy.

Where Phoenicians, Romans, Byzantines, and Aragonese all passed through -
and yet something remained untouched.

A language that doesn’t fully belong elsewhere.
Landscapes that divide and define.
A history where sea and mountains never stopped shaping identity.

In this new article of 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐀𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐢 explores the roots of what makes Sardinia… Sardinia.

From the legacy of the 𝐆𝐢𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢
to a culture that absorbed everything - without ever losing itself.

Because some places are not just visited.

They are discovered, layer after layer.

Not just landscapes.
But moments, details, and perspectives that often go unnoticed.

Because sometimes, the truest way to experience a place starts from how you learn to see it.

Some build relationships.
Some build companies.
And some quietly build the systems that allow everything else to work.

In our story, that person has always been 𝐆𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐚 𝐀𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐢, for more than twenty years the technological backbone of our group.

Long before tourism learned the language of the web, he was already thinking in terms of architecture, infrastructure, and digital models.

Not websites. 𝑆𝑦𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑚𝑠.

In this new article of 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬, Andrea Atzeri talks with Gianluca about:
• building when the market isn’t ready yet
• why digital in tourism is an infrastructure, not a tool
• the risks behind real technological transitions
• and how technology can scale tourism without losing its human dimension

Because sometimes the most important work happens behind the scenes.

And in this family, 𝐺𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑙𝑢𝑐𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑙𝑦.
