The charming Southern Italian town of Calitri, located inland from Naples, is the ideal place to sample the real Italy - fantastic cuisine, friendly people and breathtaking scenery. The Amalfi Coast, Mount Vesuvius and the Pompeii ruins are all within easy reach and the town is easily accessed by Naples, Bari and Rome airports (serviced by Easyjet, Ryanair and Aer Lingus).

The house now sleeps 6 people: bedroom 1 - double bed; bedroom 2 - double bed or 2 single beds; living room - double sofa bed; baby cot also available. The house has all modern facilities including an updated wetroom in the upstairs bedroom, fitted in September 2011, and a new smaller wetroom in the downstairs bedroom, fitted in September 2012.

You can avail of Casa delle Rose for the bargain rate of £250 per week low/mid season, £300 per week July/August. The price includes all electricity and gas, and a small fee of €40 is payable locally for the final clean of the house at the end of your visit.......................................................................................

Fascinating imagery from 1944, the last eruption of Mount Vesuvius - eager to rush back to the 'the happy land' once it's died down, it's really no wonder Neapolitans are considered a bit mental!
