A little piece of Sicily, bottled. 🫒🇮🇹

Today we filled the last bottles of our Olio di Monte Riparato from this year’s stock – and there is something very special about seeing the deep green oil going into each bottle, knowing exactly where it comes from.

From our own olive trees at Monte Riparato, in the mountains of Sicily. Harvested in autumn, pressed locally and brought all the way from Sicily to our home in Germany.

What started with our love for this beautiful piece of land has slowly become something we can share with others – and that still makes me incredibly happy. 💚

In our villas, you’ll find more than beautiful interiors—you’ll discover authentic Sicilian craftsmanship.

Many of the ceramic pieces decorating our homes were created by our friend, the talented Sicilian artist Nicola Mirenda.

You may have already seen his work in The White Lotus, where his ceramics were chosen to decorate the magnificent San Domenico Palace in Taormina.

For us, these pieces are much more than decoration. They are part of Sicily’s culture, tradition and soul—and we are proud to share them with our guests.

✨ Behind the scenes at Villa Tramonto sul Mare ✨

Whenever our villa is between guests, we use the time to make sure everything is perfect for the next arrival.

Over the last few days we have:
💙 Deep cleaned the pool and outdoor areas
🔧 Taken care of small repairs and maintenance
🌿 Carried out a professional preventive treatment to keep the property clean and comfortable throughout the Sicilian summer

A huge thank you to Vincenzo and Lia for their dedication and attention to every detail. Their hard work ensures that every guest can enjoy a relaxing, worry-free stay from the very first moment.

The White Lotus Effect is real.

Ever since the series put Sicily in the spotlight, travelers from around the world have been coming to experience the island’s beauty for themselves.
Many of our guests choose to split their stay between Cefalù and Taormina the perfect combination for discovering some of the most iconic white Lotus locations.

Enjoy a Granita alla Mandorla (Almond Granita) at Bam Bar, admire the views from Taormina, visit the famous Four Seasons Hotel San Domenico Palace and explore the charming streets and coastlines that captured the world’s attention.

What many people don’t know: several scenes were also filmed in and around Cefalù, making it an ideal base for White Lotus fans who want to experience the magic of Sicily beyond the screen.

At I Segreti del Chiostro in Palermo, Sicily’s convent pastry tradition still lives on.

For centuries, the nuns of Santa Caterina created biscuits, pastries, fritters and preserves behind the monastery walls — not only as an art, but also to support the convent itself.

Walking through these rooms feels like stepping into another time: the scent of almonds, sugar and citrus everywhere, ancient recipes carefully preserved, and a little piece of authentic Sicily hidden in the heart of Palermo.

One of those places that makes you slow down and simply enjoy the beauty of Sicilian traditions.
