October in Sicily… and this is what evenings look like. 🌅🇮🇹

25°C during the day, endless blue skies, and still around 20°C when the sun goes down. ☀️

There’s something magical about slipping into the pool at sunset, watching the sky change its colours and feeling the warmth of the day slowly fade away.

No crowds. No summer heat. Just peace, warm air and that beautiful Sicilian light. ✨

Honestly, October might be one of my favourite times of the year in Capo Plaja. 💙

This is the kind of evening you wish would never end.

For one weekend, Nicosia turns back the clock. 🏁🇮🇹

At the Gran Premio La Motta, it’s not only the historic cars that take you back in time. The whole town becomes part of the experience: locals dress in the style of the 1950s, the streets fill with vintage details and classic cars, and Nicosia seems to step into another era.

I was lucky enough to experience this wonderful event together with my friend Pietro Cassaniti, a veteran Sicilian racing driver with his own history connected to the legendary Targa Florio. Sharing the atmosphere with someone who actually lived part of Sicily’s motorsport history made the day even more special.

I also had the pleasure of meeting the President of the Associazione Veicoli Storici Nicosia and hearing more about the passion behind this extraordinary event.

This is the Sicily I love to show: not only beautiful landscapes and beaches, but traditions, people and stories that bring the island to life. ❤️🇮🇹

Sometimes travelling in Sicily really does feel like travelling through time.

Slow afternoons by the pool, palm trees swaying in the breeze, the Mediterranean just steps away… 🌴🌊

And when the sun begins to set, there’s only one thing left to do: pour a glass, sit back and watch the sky turn golden. 🥂🌅

This is Capo Plaja.
This is summer in Sicily.
And sometimes, this is all you need.

Vom Baum in die Flasche. 🫒🇮🇹

Unser Olivenöl beginnt dort, wo es am schönsten ist: in unseren Olivenhainen in Sizilien.

Die Oliven werden geerntet und innerhalb weniger Stunden zur Ölmühle gebracht, wo daraus unser Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva – Olio di Monte Riparato entsteht.

Und an diesem Samstag bringe ich ein Stück Sizilien mit nach Neuenhain. 💛

A little piece of Sicily, bottled. 🫒🇮🇹

Today we filled the last bottles of our Olio di Monte Riparato from this year’s stock – and there is something very special about seeing the deep green oil going into each bottle, knowing exactly where it comes from.

From our own olive trees at Monte Riparato, in the mountains of Sicily. Harvested in autumn, pressed locally and brought all the way from Sicily to our home in Germany.

What started with our love for this beautiful piece of land has slowly become something we can share with others – and that still makes me incredibly happy. 💚

Many of the ceramic pieces decorating our homes were created by our friend, the talented Sicilian artist Nicola Mirenda.

You may have already seen his work in The White Lotus, where his ceramics were chosen to decorate the magnificent San Domenico Palace in Taormina.

For us, these pieces are much more than decoration. They are part of Sicily’s culture, tradition and soul—and we are proud to share them with our guests.
