Pope Leo XIV - how many Leo Popes we had in History ? We had 13 Leo Pope staring with Leo the Great Pope from 440 until 461 . His Pontificate is remembered for his defense of Christian orthodoxy and for having stopped Attila king of the Huns just outside the door of Rome . He is venerated as a Saint by both the Catholic and Orthodox Church . He is also a Doctor of the Church .
Leo XIII Pope from 1878 until 1903 he is famous for his enciclica Rerum Novarum which all should read it to understand the thought of the new Pope Leo XIV if his inspiration is Pope Leo XIII. This enciclica is speaking about how social problems, differences, work , poverty, donations of those who have more should behave as good catholic but also as good human beings.
The Agostianians are very much connected with Pope Leo XIII because he called to be governor of the Italian order Antonio Pacifico Nero who opened a novitiate in Italy and started a massive campaign of vocations. Pope Leo XIII created Cardinals 3 Agostinians and started the beatification process for several Agostinians.
Now we all reflect on the choices of Pope Leo XIV .
