A few days ago, I completed the Sellaronda in a clockwise direction by paraglider. Weather conditions were particularly favorable, allowing for a continuous progression by exploiting local valley breezes rather than turning proper thermals.

On the northern side, I was able to maintain altitude by closely following the summit ridges, while on the southern side I precisely traced the characteristic cengia anulare, a truly unique geological feature. Approaching Passo Pordoi, I arrived with the perfect altitude to comfortably clear the lower station of the cable car, thus closing the circuit with an ideal margin.

This flight represented a highly rewarding personal achievement, both for the efficiency of the trajectory and for the rarity of completing the entire Sellaronda loop solely by relying on anabatic flows and valley winds. A technical and scenic experience of the highest level.
