Maybe this is our favourite time of day. It’s when, little by little, the house fills up again. The children come home from the beach, or from a playdate with the neighbours that just wouldn’t end. Friends wander over for dinner. Nobody asks who invited who. Somehow, there’s always a friend of a friend. Somehow, there’s always another chair.

One of the joys of staying in our homes is having a wild stretch of coastline reached via your own private path. Then there’s La Dogana Beach Club. Just a few minutes’ drive away, it’s another favourite among our guests and a different side of life by the sea.

This is one way to spend a morning when staying in one of our homes.

Wake up overlooking Lake Burano, have breakfast at the Clubhouse, then roll out a yoga mat or pick up a racket before heading to the beach.

From your porch, it’s hard not to look across Lake Burano at the old tower. If you’re curious to see it a little closer, a boat can take you there. We’d leave it until sunset, gliding through the lake, past the reeds and the wildlife, towards the old tower, before wandering over to the wild beach.

Some days you might be in the mood for sand between your toes. Other days, you never quite make it past the Clubhouse. Then again, with the beach only a short walk away, most days here include a bit of both.

The Clubhouse is open from breakfast through to dinner by Catering Enoteca La Torre , exclusively for guests staying at the Resort & Glamping or in one of our homes.
