Having lived in the Mediterranean since 1982 I pretty much thought I knew what it has to offer and yet I keep finding real treasures: extraordinary wineries with gorgeous wines, still more beautiful landscapes, idyllic farm houses and dishes that work so magically with my favourite olive oils. Next Tuesday evening at 19.00 I will be holding an olive oil tasting at La Ola Fresca in Benimaclet, Valencia. I will be showing people how we taste olive oils in the competitions that I judge in and we will be trying some of the best oils that Spain and Italy can offer.

Last Autumn some people came on our Food2Table tour in Tuscany and loved it. I blush to copy this here but maybe I have got to an age when I no longer need to be modest!

We are going to do some more next Autumn and in 2024 and 2025 as well. But we are adding Sicily this year, too, (in October) where there are amazing oils, wines, cheeses and beautiful places to visit.
