⛪️☕️🌞 What a delightful day — from Monreale to Palermo, with island adventures on the horizon!

I just finished a Palermo & Monreale Discovery Tour with four curious guests.

We wandered Palermo’s historic center and soaked up the golden mosaics at Monreale, then the next day followed our noses to Capo market — the perfect stop for a guest torn between history and food. The market charmed us so much, but we still made time for the usual shots of the Cathedral too.

🌞🌋💐 On another day we met in Catania, and now just had a discovery walk through the heart of Palermo with a lovely family.

The young gentleman’s interests went in two directions — history and culinary delights — so the perfect place to experience both was at the Ballarò market.
We all loved it so much we even forgot to take pictures 😆 … next time!

The last couple of days I showed a lovely family around Palermo, Monreale, and Cefalù — and even the little one joined in the fun!
She smiled, giggled, and tried local delicacies, and already feels at home. Hope to see you all again soon — safe travels back to New York!

🕍✡️ We had an incredible day walking in the footsteps of Palermo’s Jewish history.

Inside an old palazzo we entered a courtyard and saw where a mikveh has been hidden for more than 600 years — a quiet, powerful reminder of daily life and ritual from centuries past. It isn’t open to the public, but just knowing it’s there was meaningful for my clients.

We wandered through the old Jewish quarter, spotted historic street signs, and viewed the recent restoration of the old synagogue nearby, where conservation work is slowly bringing hidden stories back into the light.

The highlight for many was discovering an ancient Hebrew inscription tucked into the middle of a cloister. Several clients read it aloud — for a moment you could feel history speaking across time.

Small-group, personalized tours like this make Palermo’s layered past come alive:
