La vendemmia è cominciata.
È strano aspettare per un anno intero qualcosa che poi accade in così pochi giorni. Per mesi si guarda il cielo, si cammina tra i filari, si aspetta la pioggia o si spera che smetta.
Si impara a non avere fretta, perché la vigna ha un tempo tutto suo e non si lascia convincere.

Harvest has begun.
It feels strange to wait an entire year for something that unfolds in just a few days. For months, you watch the sky, walk between the rows of vines, wait for the rain—or hope it will stop.
You learn not to rush, because the vineyard moves at its own pace, and it cannot be persuaded.

Quando raccogli un grappolo, per un attimo il tempo ha un peso: stai raccogliendo l’anno che è passato.
Le giornate buone e quelle difficili. La luce di maggio, il caldo di luglio, una pioggia arrivata al momento giusto…e perfino quello che, mentre accadeva, sembrava non lasciare traccia.

When you pick a bunch of grapes, for a moment, time has weight: you are gathering the year that has passed.

The good days and the difficult ones. The light of May, the heat of July, a rain that came at just the right time… and even those things that, as they happened, seemed to leave no trace.
