The final phase of the TESTEAT project is officially here, and it is all about looking ahead to secure our legacy!

Our main goal is to ensure that the sustainable food practices, innovative training programs, and digital tools developed during this journey become a permanent, long-lasting part of local tourism across Italy and Croatia. 🇮🇹🤝🇭🇷

Con la consegna degli ultimi “deliverables” - Strategy and Action Plan, Manifesto, Transferability Plan - del progetto TESTEAT Interreg Italia Croazia (di cui abbiamo curato tutto la fase finale WP4), si conclude il semestre di consulenza per il Comune di Venezia. Sono stati mesi intensi, formativi e interessanti, dedicati a sostenibilità e inclusività alimentare, turismo enogastronomico, innovazione e formazione.
Ringraziamo ancora una volta le dottoresse Isabella Marangoni, Franca Pullia e Anna Zarotti, nostre tenaci referenti di progetto, ma anche compagne di percorso.

With the submission of the final project deliverables—the Strategy and Action Plan, Manifesto, and Transferability Plan—for the TESTEAT Interreg Italy–Croatia project (for which we managed the entire final phase of WP4), our six-month consultancy for the Municipality of Venice has come to an end.
It has been an intense, rewarding, and enriching experience, focused on Food sustainability and inclusivity, Food and wine tourism, Innovation, education and training, filled with valuable learning opportunities.
We would like to express our sincere thanks once again to Dr. Isabella Marangoni, Dr. Franca Pullia and Dr. Anna Zarotti, our dedicated project counterparts, who have also been our companions throughout this journey.

Si è svolta ieri a Venezia la Conferenza Finale di Testeat (Interreg Italia-Croazia). Meridies ha presentato il Manifesto Testeat, 10 punti per traghettare il progetto nel futuro e oltre i confini.
Ancora qualche settimana di lavoro per completare lo Strategy and Action Plan.
Ringraziamo il Comune di Venezia (, Franca Pullia, ) per averci scelto come loro consulenti nella fase finale del progetto. Grazie anche a tutti i Partners (Università Ca’ Foscari, Civiform, Scuola Centrale Formazione, AZZRI Istria, Università di P**a, DURA Dubrovnik, Ston).

Abbiamo insegnato nella sua università a Pollenzo e continuiamo a condividere quelle idee di fondo, visionarie eppure applicabili, a cui con il nostro lavoro cerchiamo di garantire un giusto riscontro nella realtà.

Today, in the town of Bra (Italy), Carlo Petrini passed away at the age of 76.

A visionary leader and public intellectual with a profound commitment to the common good, human relationships, and the natural world, Carlo Petrini founded Slow Food, the international Terra Madre gathering, and the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo. Through these initiatives, he brought to life a global movement rooted in the values of good, clean, and fair food for all, connecting communities, farmers, food artisans, cooks, activists, and young people across the world.

“Those who sow utopia reap reality” - a phrase Carlo Petrini loved to say - encapsulates his life. He firmly believed that dreams and visions, when they are just, capable of inspiring collective participation, and pursued with conviction, are not impossible to achieve.

He combined the ability to dream with a deep sense of joy and collective purpose, paving concrete paths toward social change. His work was always rooted in collaboration with others, especially younger generations, and guided by passion, empathy, and fraternity.

His energy, his determination, and his lifelong dedication to others will remain a guiding force for the entire Slow Food movement and for all those who shared his vision.

🆕 The City of Venice is pleased to announce that the next Cross-Border Online Workshop will officially take place on Wednesday 29 April at 10:00.

The meeting represents a crucial step for WP4 and will focus on defining the strategic tools that will ensure the future of territorial cooperation. The day’s agenda includes an in-depth examination of three key themes:

- The Cross-Border Strategy
- The Action Plan
- The Project Manifesto
📆 The partners will work together to translate the results achieved into sustainable and scalable actions, incorporating local contributions to ensure their effectiveness and international relevance.

For Indigenous peoples, relationships with land and water give geography its meaning. Those ties carry responsibility rather than ownership; they are familial. When communities are torn from the ecologies that formed them – as we were through ethnic cleansing carried out by colonial governments – it is a kind of family separation.

On my way to the shelter I found a big birch tree about a mile up the trail covered in scars from hikers celebrating themselves by carving their names into it. I saw the same hubris and self-interest that erects monuments on top of mountains, vandalizes sacred sites, and pollutes my homeland. It’s ego carved on living trees. The more loudly people announce their presence on the land, the quieter the voices of the ecology and its caretakers become.
