Another heatwave is sweeping across Italy... and it's a reminder that Tuscany isn't just magical in the height of summer. ☀️🇮🇹

Some of our favourite months here at Villa Ciconia Tuscany are May/June, September/October. The days are beautifully warm, the evenings are cooler, the vineyards and olive groves are stunning, and it's the perfect time to explore charming hilltop towns, enjoy leisurely meals outdoors, and experience Tuscany at a more relaxed pace.

We couldn't be happier with our latest review ...

Tuscan villa in charming village.
+ We wanted to experience Tuscany, and Villa Cicogna was the best starting point we could get. Columb and Michelle are fantastic hosts and did everything they could to make sure we had a good time. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the ceiling height is huge! In the middle of our stay, Norway played England in the World Cup, and a projector was arranged so that we could watch the match on the wall of the house. It was a memorable experience. We will never forget this stay. The table we ate at was moved all the way out to the edge of the terrace, and several meals were eaten with a panoramic view of the Tuscan countryside. We spent a lot of time in the local area, and had great pleasure in swimming in the river that runs through Loro Ciuffenna, a 10-minute drive from the house. Our best recommendations!.

One of the best things we enjoy about spending half our year in Italy is the proximity to the rest of Europe. Tonight we are in a little village in Germany, the region of the cucumber 🥒 so it's been a traditional dinner with pickles and potatoes. So good I forgot to take a picture of the food before I devoured it 😂 ... But here is the view x
