One of my favorite places

During your vacation in Umbria, a visit to Isola Maggiore (the only urbanized area of Lake Trasimeno) is a must. In 1211 St. Francis arrived there for a few days of prayer. Umbria is mourning its hero today.
I was touched by his story since I first heard of him.
Leonardo Cenci was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2012 but he never gave up. Despite he was told he had only a few months to live, he did all he could to actually be able to enjoy life for almost another 7 years. He ran New York Marathon in 2017, he founded Avanti Tutta Charity (www.avantitutta.org) and he also organized the first edition of the Oncology Games in Rome.
We will never forget you Leo!
