🌿 Home changes, but it never disappears.

When I return to my village in Tuscany, not everything is as I remember it. New faces, new voices, a new rhythm of life. And yet, walking the same hills, seeing the same sunsets, I feel deeply rooted. Belonging, I realise, is not only about being recognised. It’s about being part of a much longer story — one of continuity through change.

Did you know that, just a short distance from here, at Casenovole, archaeologists uncovered Etruscan tombs sealed for more than 2,000 years? Inside were the remains of families who once lived and worked these same hills, buried with their treasures and memories. Realising that they, too, called this place home makes me see my village differently: even as it changes, it carries within it the echo of countless lives before ours.
