Giroparchi Nature Trail 🎉 Final day on the trail!

Today we hiked down from the Vittorio Sella refuge to Cogne... with donkeys! 🐴 The kids had a blast learning how to lead and even ride them along the path. 😍

To wrap up our journey, we lightened the load - literally! Each stone they carried symbolizing the weight of climate responsibility was "unpacked" with real solutions the group came up with themselves. 🌍💡

We ended the trek with a well-deserved snack at Villaggio Minatori, in front of Fondation Grand Paradis. Smiles all around - from both kids and parents! 🤗

Giroparchi Nature Trail 🌿💧 DAY 3

Today’s hike took us from the beautiful Alpine botanical garden in Cogne up through the stunning Valnontey all the way to Rifugio Vittorio Sella! 🏔️🌼

Along the way, the group reflected deeply on last year’s devastating flood in the area. Many shared personal stories, and together we explored how such extreme weather events are becoming more frequent due to climate change. 🌍💬

A powerful day of connection — with nature, with each other, and with the challenges facing mountain communities.

Giroparchi Nature Trail 🌿❄️ DAY 2

We kicked off the day leaving Rifugio Grauson with some thoughtful conversations among the kids about climate change and how it might impact local economies, especially traditional mountain activities like alpine farming. 🐄🌍

On our way down from Grauson, we stopped at the beautiful Lago Money 💧, before reaching our stop for the night: the cozy La Mine Hostel in Cogne! 🏡✨

Another meaningful day on the trail — learning, connecting, and exploring together!

Giroparchi Nature Trail DAY 1

Today’s hike to Rifugio Grauson wasn’t just about nature—it was about *climate change*.

We played games in English and kicked off a powerful activity: passing around a fabric bag filled with rocks, each one symbolizing a cause of climate change. As we added more, the weight grew—just like the burden on our planet. 🌍🪨

Fino al 4 luglio è possibile iscriversi al trekking di Fondation Grand Paradis per di 9-11 anni alla scoperta dei tesori di fondovalle del Gran Paradiso con giochi e attività in lingua inglese.

Grazie al contributo di BCC Valdostana, al costo simbolico di 50€, i bambini vivranno tante attività outdoor coinvolgenti: non solo visiteranno 🏰 forni e mulini, castelli, rocche e cripte, ma si cimenteranno in esperienze alla loro portata come 🛶 canoa e SUP e incontri con la 🦌 fauna alpina.

Fino al 18 agosto, bambini e bambine dai 9 agli 11 anni possono iscriversi a , il trekking in Inglese 🇬🇧 che li porterà sulle tracce dei monumenti, delle tradizioni e della natura del Gran Paradiso.

📌 Il trekking si terrà dal 3 al 6 settembre.
🔖 Il costo di partecipazione di € 130 per i quattro giorni comprende vitto, alloggio e tutte le attività.
