I am absolutely delighted to say a few words of appreciation from all of us about our week in Sicily with you Michele. We would like to thank you, as we did earlier to Sebe, for bonding us all in friendship in less than one week, on this beautiful island of Sicily, of which you are so proud.
We came from Canada, Australia, England, Ireland, Scotland and America, and addressed you each day with a different name. It could be Michelle or Michael or Miguel or Michael Jovad Otis! Until the Italian amongst us Luigi taught us all about E instead of I and we mastered Michele. It mattered not, whatever we called you, we got your individual attention to our every need. At 6‘6“ as our Sicilian giant, you knew every Hill, every Road, every View and we followed you always as you yelled Ee Aw, Ee Aw, single file. We were most grateful that you left your five donkeys, two children and a black sheep at home to share with us so generously your passion and knowledge of this beautiful island, the history, the fruit, the herbs, the places to visit, the card games and much much more. Your care, patience and humour has made Sicily so special for all of us from start to end. Thank you for all the wonderful memories you have helped us to make. And if we ever hear a donkey Bray! We will think fondly of Sicily and the hills and of View. And you will hear people everywhere shouting Eeyore, Eeyore, Eeyore, single file. Thank you so much from all of us.
