Day 6—and we may have officially fallen in love with Switzerland. 🇨🇭❤️
There was the thunder of waterfalls inside the mountain, those views that somehow keep getting better, and a whole lot of laughter on the rodelbahn—basically a giant alpine slide that sends you zipping down the mountainside!
But the best part? Ending it all gathered around the table, celebrating one of our travelers with dinner, cake and birthday wishes. What a wonderful way to spend a birthday! 🎂✨
Big scenery, happy hearts and the kind of day that is simply more fun when shared. Switzerland, you have us completely.

Day 5, and Switzerland just keeps showing off… 🇨🇭
We begin with castle walls and sweeping views over a lake so blue it hardly looks real. Then it’s aprons on and hands in the chocolate—because admiring Swiss chocolate simply isn’t enough when you can make your own. 🍫
By evening, we’re gathered inside a cozy wooden grilling hut, with raclette melting by the fire, glasses raised and laughter filling the room. 🔥🧀
And just when we think the day couldn’t hold anything more… the sound of cowbells comes rolling through the village as a traditional parade passes by in full costume.
Castles, chocolate, raclette and cowbells. This is how Switzerland does a Thursday!❤️

“Pure Swissness”—and an entire day wrapped in the traditions of rural Switzerland. 🇨🇭✨
Centuries-old wooden houses, flower-filled paths, smoke curling from the rafters as sausages slowly cured, grapes ripening on the vines…and the feeling that the past is still very much alive here.
Then, beneath the gaze of one very giant Swiss cow, we headed into the workshop to paint our own little wooden cows to bring home. 🐄🎨
One guest even declared it her favorite day of the trip so far—and honestly, we can see why. ❤️

“Hub & Spoke in Switzerland!” 🇨🇭🙌
Day 2—and this happy crew went ALL the way up!
Today, we rode the cable cars to Birg, where we took on the Thrill Walk—including that tightrope bridge hanging high above the mountains! 😳🏔️
Then we continued to the top of the Schilthorn, feasted at the mountaintop brunch, channeled our inner 007 in the James Bond exhibit and stepped outside to views that didn’t even look real.
We finished in flower-filled Mürren, wandering between chalets, laughing with friends and stopping for approximately 847 group photos because every direction deserved one. 🌸📸
It was a FULL day—the kind that would have been nearly impossible to piece together on their own, but felt wonderfully carefree because every cable car, reservation, connection and detail had already been handled.
No enormous tour group. No scrambling over schedules. Just friends having the time of their lives in Switzerland.
We did the planning. They got to have all the fun!🇨🇭💙

This is where our week begins—and yes, it really is this beautiful. 🇨🇭✨

Waterfalls spill into the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Chalets overflow with flowers. We laugh our way across a bridge with mountains rising in every direction—and share fondue around the table as evening settles in. 🫕

They’ve gathered the people who make life more fun, and together we’re settling into Switzerland—one unforgettable day at a time.

Two and a half years in the making…and we are SO close! 🏡🇮🇹✨

Come take a quick spin through the Villino and see where we are now. Things may not be perfect when we cross the finish line (is a renovation ever really finished? 😂), but after 2½ years of dreaming, planning, restoring, choosing, changing our minds…and choosing again, it’s finally starting to feel like home.

And we have a pretty big incentive to get it finished! This fall, we’re planning to welcome our Hub & Spoke Tuscany groups here. My friend Loredana will join us in the kitchen, we’ll cook together, probably laugh a lot, and then sit down around the table for dinner. 🍝🍷❤️

Which means…we actually need a KITCHEN. 😂

That’s next! And then there’s the small matter of buying everything we need to cook, serve and host these dinners. Plates, glasses, pots, pans, linens…all while we’re busy hosting tours. 😳

So yes, the clock is ticking!

Next up: kitchen installation. 👩‍🍳🔨
Fingers crossed we can pull it all together in time. 🤞🇮🇹

July is almost over… which feels like the perfect time to start dreaming of cooler things. ❄️🎄
Twinkling lights. Steaming mugs. Market stalls brimming with treasures. Music in the air. A whole lot of laughter. And some of our very favorite people along for the ride.
Our Christmas Markets Tour is festive, immersive, full of holiday magic—and very, very fun.
So while we’re still firmly in summer, consider this our little celebration of Christmas in July… and a reminder that sometimes the best gift under the tree is the one you give yourself. 🎁
