On October 31st 1737 Anna Maria Luisa de Medici, daughter of Cosimo III, last descendent of the Medici family, signed the Family Pact.

This year i had the luck of reading it in person: what a bless! 😍
She is the reason why i have a job, she is the reason why tourists from all over the world come to visit my city.
With this document she has saved our art collections through centuries. To avoid other from stealing it, she wrote that “galleries, paintings, statues, libraries, jewels and other precious object…has to remain in the State for public utilities and to attract curiosity of foreigners”.
