🇮🇹Un po' di Firenze...all'estero! Nella bella "Capilla del Caliz" (Ca****la del Calice) della Cattedrale di Valencia c'è una grande pala d'altare in alabastro con rilievi eseguiti da Giuliano di Nofri, artista minore fiorentino del primo '400, che andò a lavorare in Spagna esportandovi lo stile rinascimentale. Sembra infatti che il suo contributo rappresenti una delle prime espressioni del Rinascimento in terra iberica. Insomma, la fuga di cervelli dall'Italia c'era già 600 anni fa😉😅!! Basta uno sguardo alla raffigurazione di queste scene bibliche per farci esclamare, ora come allora: "¡Qué obra maestra!"👏👏👏

In the beautiful “Capilla del Caliz” (Chapel of the Chalice) inside Valencia Cathedral, there is a large alabaster altarpiece with reliefs created by Giuliano di Nofri, a lesser-known Florentine artist who lived in the early 15th century and went to work in Spain, bringing the Renaissance style there. In fact, it seems that his artistic contribution was among the earliest expressions of the Renaissance on the Iberian Peninsula. In short, the “brain drain” from Italy was already happening 600 years ago😉😅! A quick glance at the depiction of these biblical scenes is enough to make you exclaim, now as then: "¡Qué obra maestra!"👏👏👏
