🇮🇹Che bella scoperta il Castello di Romena in Casentino...! Costruito nell'XI secolo e divenuto possedimento fiorentino nel 1357, venne citato da Dante nel ### canto dell'Inferno perché un tal Mastro Adamo, spinto dai nobili locali, falsificò tra le sue mura i fiorini, le monete d'oro in uso a Firenze! L'inganno gli valse una terribile condanna a morte e la sua collocazione nella bolgia dei falsari nel poema dantesco. Tra le rovine maestose e la bellezza di un paesaggio toscano "doc", si avverte ancora un'eco di quelle lontane vicende storiche...ed è subito Medioevo😄👍.

Built in the 11th century and acquired by the city of Florence in 1357, it was mentioned by our poet Dante Alighieri in his ### "canto" of the "Inferno" ("Hell") because a certain Mastro Adamo, at the instigation of the noble owners, counterfeited the "fiorini"—the gold coins in use in Florence—within its walls. The deception earned him a terrible death sentence and Dante's inclusion of him among the worst sinners. Amid the majestic ruins and the beauty of an authentic Tuscan landscape, a distant echo of those long-ago historical events remains. A touch of the Middle Ages and a bit of magic✨✨✨!
