We hope this goes ahead as planned. One of Florence's most neglected piazzas really does need a facelift! The modest exteriors of the church hide a beautiful airy and light interior but the piazza has been used as large car park for many years. This should created some nice connectivity from Santo Spirito to San Frediano.
Might not be too popular with local car owners thought...

And Santo Spirito too? Where did everyone go? Empty church steps are a rarity in this piazza. The International Documentary Film Festival in Florence starts tomorrow for a week of fantastic documentaries in different venues. This is the festivals 57th years and it covers topics from David Bowie to life in Lebanon today and also includes several free events.
