According to legend, Charlemagne and his army, returning from Rome, were struck by illness. Seeking divine help, he vowed to build an abbey if they were healed. After drinking from the pure spring near today’s abbey, his men recovered, and Sant’Antimo was born.
Today, it remains a peaceful sanctuary where history, spirituality, and myth intertwine under centuries-old stone arches.

Grape Tours – the story…

It all started back in 2004 when Rebecca, a wine lover transplanted in Tuscany from Denmark, after working several years in the wine biz, started giving wine tours based upon her good knowledge of the wine country and her great contacts to some of the best wineries of the area.

In 2009 she met Pierre, who was a winemaker in Bordeaux, on a wine tour that she was giving in Tuscany. They both had an immediate connection and soon after they got married in the hills of Tuscany (at a winery, what else?!).
