A huge thank you to the girls at Coclico for gifting me this beauty!

If you don't know them yet, they’re a super talented, all-female brand from Florence making the dreamiest 100% silk scarves.

What I love most? Their designs are all inspired by art. It’s not just an accessory; it’s like wearing a little piece of a gallery. It’s so soft, colorful, and honestly makes even my simplest outfit feel 10x more polished.

So happy to support a young, creative team of women bringing some fresh Florentine vibes into the world! 🎨🇮🇹

Which one is your vibe?
How would you wear this? Tied in your hair, around your neck, or maybe on your favorite bag? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Calcio Storico Fiorentino: More Than Just a Game⚽️

If you're in Florence this weekend, you might catch a glimpse of the Calcio Storico Fiorentino! This isn't your average football match; it's a brutal, no-holds-barred historical sport that dates back to the 16th century.

Imagine a mix of rugby, wrestling, and street fighting, all played in historical costumes in Florence's Piazza Santa Croce.

The roots of Calcio Storico can be traced back to ancient Roman time but the game as we know it today was born in Florence during the Renaissance. It was particularly popular among the Florentine aristocracy, who would play it in the city's main squares, often during significant events or celebrations.

One of the most famous matches took place on February 17, 1530, during the Siege of Florence. Despite being under attack by Imperial troops, the Florentines bravely organized a game in Piazza Santa Croce to show their resilience and spirit.

The four historic neighborhoods of Florence (Santa Croce, Santo Spirito, Santa Maria Novella, and San Giovanni) each have their own team, and the rivalry is intense!
Today, the Reds of Santa Maria Novella are playing against the Blues of Santa Croce! Who are you rooting for? 🔴🔵

Happy New Year, Florence! 🎉

🔹Did you know that Florence celebrates its New Year's Day on March 25th? This tradition dates back to the Middle Ages when the Florentine calendar began on the Feast of the Annunciation.

🔸This unique celebration was officially recognized until 1750 when the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Francesco III, aligned Florence with the Roman calendar.

🔹Today, the city commemorates this historical event with a traditional parade and various cultural events.

🔸I absolutely love how every Italian city cherishes its own unique traditions and it's so fascinating to see how Florence has managed to keep intact all of these one-of-a-kind events, such as the Florentine New Year, a testament to the city's rich historical and cultural heritage!

What historical celebration or special event does your city have? Tell me about it in the comments ⬇️

Today we celebrate International Tourist Guide Day. I am so grateful that I get to do my dream job every day. I love sharing my passion for history and culture with visitors from all over the world.

This photo was taken 11 years ago, during my first season as a tour guide. I was so nervous, but also so excited to meet new people and show them the beauty of my city.

And look at this beautiful Non La hat that I received as a gift from a group of lovely tourists from Vietnam. I still have it, and it always reminds me of this special day.

I am so lucky to have met so many amazing people over the years, and I am so grateful for all the support I have received.

Thank you to everyone who has made my dream come true.

Looking for a cozy spot in Florence? 🔍
in the charming Oltrarno district is the perfect place for brunch, lunch, or aperitivo! 🥂

With a warm atmosphere and delicious food, it's a must-visit when exploring this authentic side of the city.

Plus, it’s one of the few places where you can still see the historic 'buchetta del vino' still working, a small wine window that was once used to serve local wine directly to the people passing by🍷How cool is that?

Have you ever ordered something from a wine window? If yes, which one did you go to? Drop your thoughts and experiences in the comments below! 👇

A small recap of the food and wine tour done yesterday with a wonderful group of travel creators from all over Italy 🇮🇹

Sant'Ambrogio neighborhood is one of my favorite places here in Florence, still felt and lived by the Florentines, full of antique shops, small shops and bars but above all the lively and authentic

Our stops were:
• : run by Mr Sergio and his son and specialized in the classic lampredotto sandwich and Florentine tripe

• A small stop in front of one of the many wine windows that can be found along the way

• Macelleria Menoni in Sant'Ambrogio Market: here the owner Luca Menoni told us the story of his butcher's shop, founded in 1921, and how much care, attention and work goes into each of their products.

•Last stop at for a lesson and coffee tasting. Here we learned about the concept of specialty coffee and that in order to achieve maximum quality it is necessary a selection of the best coffee beans.

Food is one of my greatest passions and I am very happy that chose me as thei tour guide for this tour 🙏

Good Evening My Dear Explorers 🥰
I can't believe it's been over one and a half years since my last post.

A small hurricane came into my life and completely changed it; it took me some time to understand how to manage my time after this big revolution.
This hurricane is called Ginevra and she is my beautiful, intelligent, lively and sometimes naughty daughter. 🤰

Even though I haven't been active on social media for so long, I have never forgotten about you and from behind the scenes I have continued to study, inform myself and plan all the things we could have done together or that I could have told you about.✍️

Well... I can finally say that I am back on track and even if with a more limited frequency (understand me, my little girl requires a lot of attention 🤣), from now on I will return to share with you my greatest passion: Florence and its beauty.

I hope you can forgive my absence and keep following me during my explorations through the city best art, food and shopping spots. 🎨🍷🛍️

I hug everyone virtually and look forward to seeing you soon in Florence 💜

Ph Thanks so much to for this beautiful picture taken during week in Florence

🐣 Happy Easter my dear explorers 🐣

💝I chose this picture to wish you a happy Easter not only for the beauty of Florence Cathedral but also because the wonderful purple flowers you can see here are a very important Eastern symbol

🌸This tree is called Cercis and the legend says that Judas, the traitor apostle, hanged himself on it.
Its flowers would represent the tears of Jesus Christ and their colour the shame of Judas' perfidy .
Moreover, the Cercis tree usually blooms in April, right during Eastern time.

🌿 The best place to see the Cercis tree right now in Florence is the Bardini Garden, where not only you can enjoy one of the best view in town but this time of the year you can also assist to the wisteria blooming

👉 Did you know about it? Check the link in bio to discover more about the Bardini Garden and its secrets

HAPPY HAPPY EASTER TO ALL OF YOU ❤️

🎅Merry Christmas my dear friends explorers 🎅

I just read online a letter to Santa written by a young italian girl who asked as a Christmas gift: "leave me everything I already have".

These words made me think. We always wish for something new or something we think we might want or need, but have we ever thought of protecting and being grateful of what we already have?

Life can be unpredictable and what we have to today might not last for ever so this year my wish to ask Santa is the same of that girl: leave me everything I already have please.🙏🙏🙏

My family, my husband, my baby, my friends, my health, my job, my house, my car, my joy, my tears, my personality, MY LIFE.

Merry Christmas ❤️
