Palermo is a city made of waves: wavy are the deocors around the doors and windows of the Baroque palaces, wavy are the Palermitans, curly, whimsical. There is an atmosphere in the air in Palermo that is vibrant as well.

For many years a twentieth-century narrative was layered on the city, linked to the Mafia massacres and the violence that raged in the city's streets.

Today Palermo breathes again with a new narrative of itself, linked to a more glorious, baroque past and looking toward the future; it is a living city, with its merits and its flaws.

Palermo alone is worth a trip to Italy.

Palermo è una città fatta di onde: sono ondosi i deocori intorno alle porte e le finestre dei Palazzi Barocchi, sono mossi i palermitani, ricci, capricciosi. C’è un’atmosfera nell’aria a Palermo che è vibrante anch’essa.

Per molti anni si è stratificata sulla città una narrazione novecentesca legata alle stragi di mafia e alla violenza che imperversava nei vicoli della città.

Oggi Palermo torna a respirare con una nuova narrazione di sé stessa, legata ad un passato più glorioso, barocco e che guarda verso al futuro; è una città viva, con i suoi pregi e i suoi difetti.

La sola Palermo vale un viaggio in Italia.

Apulian orecchiette are now famous all over the world. Many people think there is only one type of orecchiette, instead in every corner of Puglia they are made differently and take on different sizes and even different shapes, they can be more or less flattened. The feature they all have in common is that they are shaped like an ear.
