😢 Our agency, Made in Sicily Tours, also feels compelled to bid farewell to our dearest Mrs. Vincenza. 🖤
Those who visited Savoca with us know her well. She was there, always available, whenever we met her in front of her door or in the streets of the village.
Always ready to be photographed with our guests and, above all, to proudly tell some anecdote from when she played Apollonia’s mother in the first, historic film “The Godfather.” 🎬Her authentic stories were worth more than any other experience our tourists had during the tour. They preserved the true essence and history of this land.
Her overwhelming enthusiasm and her sincere smile will be immensely missed by all of us who walk the streets of Savoca every day.
We will continue to pass by her door, describing it as a place close to our hearts, a place to be venerated because Apollonia’s mother lived there.
