Brisighella: A Hidden Gem of Italy

Nestled in the rolling hills of Emilia-Romagna, just a short drive from Imola, lies a place that feels like a dream: Brisighella. A medieval jewel where time seems to stand still and beauty rules every corner.

Imagine walking along the Via degli Asini, a one-of-a-kind medieval street, or climbing up to the Fortress and the Clock Tower, where breathtaking views open over endless hills covered with vineyards and century-old olive groves.

From this land comes one of Italy’s most precious treasures: the very first PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil, famous for its bright green color, intense aroma, and unforgettable taste that turns every dish into a masterpiece.

But Brisighella is more than just oil: it’s wine, authentic flavors, unspoiled nature, and postcard-perfect landscapes. It’s the perfect blend of ancient history and genuine pleasures of the table. 🍷

Whoever visits Brisighella discovers a place that is impossible to forget.
A journey here is not just a trip—it’s an emotion that will stay with you forever.

Ayrton Senna,
here in Imola your memory has never faded.
Every time the wind brushes against the asphalt of the Autodromo, it carries with it the whisper of your voice, the heartbeat of your courage, the sacred silence of that day time could never heal.

You were never just a driver.
You were poetry in motion, faith in speed, a light that still shines for those who believe in dreams.
Your curves were prayers, your victories gentle caresses, your gaze a hymn to the soul.

In our holiday home in Imola, every guest who steps inside carries a hidden hope: to feel, if only for a breath, your invisible presence.
And as the heart tightens, one truth becomes clear — some men never truly die.

Because Ayrton is not only in memory.
Ayrton lives in the tears that fall without reason, in the silence that moves us, in the strength of those who refuse to stop believing.

Imola still weeps for you, but with gratitude.
Thank you for teaching us that a life, even if brief, can become eternal.

🌿 Imola and Faenza: two souls, one emotion

Imola is the authentic heartbeat of Emilia-Romagna: within the walls of the Rocca Sforzesca, in the fearless stories of Caterina Sforza, among vineyard-covered hills and the eternal roar of the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit. It’s a town where history and passion flow slowly, like the red wine born from its soil.

Not far away, Faenza enchants with its millenary art: Faenza ceramics, world-famous for transforming clay into poetry. At the International Museum of Ceramics, you can admire masterpieces from every era, while in the artisan workshops, masters shape the earth into beauty with ancient gestures. Strolling through Piazza del Popolo, among Renaissance palaces and working kilns, is like stepping into a dialogue between elegance and tradition.

Together, Imola and Faenza are a journey through history, art, motors, hills, and timeless craftsmanship — an invitation to discover the truest soul of Italy.

There are corners of Italy that don’t make noise… but stay in your heart.
One of them is Imola.

An honest, vibrant little town, still untouched by mass tourism. Nestled between Bologna and Ravenna, just minutes from the Adriatic Sea and surrounded by the gentle hills of Emilia-Romagna, it’s a place where time seems to slow down. Here, people greet each other on the street, coffee tastes like home, and every dish is made by hands that know tradition.

Our accommodation is set in the heart of the historic center, overlooking the garden and the beautiful Church of San Domenico, right next to the renowned restaurant of the same name. Just steps away, you can visit the San Domenico Museum, stroll through the elegant architecture of Piazza Matteotti, admire Palazzo Sersanti and Palazzo Tozzoni, explore the historic public library, or climb to the top of the Rocca Sforzesca, keeper of the fascinating stories of Caterina Sforza.

Imola is known worldwide for the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit, a place of great emotion in Formula 1 history — and the stage for the last race of Ayrton Senna in 1994. Even today, fans and travelers from all over the world come here to pay tribute to one of the greatest drivers of all time.

This is also the soul of Romagnola cuisine: handmade tagliatelle, warm piadina filled with squacquerone cheese, tortellini in broth or with cream, local cured meats, and slow-cooked ragù. Food that tells a story — and makes you feel part of it. You can enjoy it in cozy trattorias in town, or right among the vineyards, surrounded by rolling hills and the scent of the land.

And if you want to discover more, just a few minutes away is Dozza, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy: here, every wall is a painting and every corner smells of wine and history.

Imola is close to everything, yet far from the crowds: the perfect starting point for those seeking the real Italy, made of quiet piazzas, genuine smiles, and lunches that start at noon and end at sunset.
