Some hotels are beautiful. Others have that something you can’t quite capture in a photo.

Grand Hotel Son Net is one of them.

Tucked into the Mallorcan countryside, it feels more like being welcomed into an incredible private home than checking into a hotel. The Lorenzo Castillo interiors are layered and full of personality, the new spa is spectacular, the food and w**e are genuinely excellent, and the entire property has a warmth that is hard to manufacture.

It’s also exactly why we spend so much time seeing hotels firsthand. Because choosing the right hotel isn’t just about finding the prettiest one. It’s knowing the rooms, the atmosphere, the people behind it and, most importantly, whether it’s the right fit for you.

Son Net absolutely earned a spot on our Mallorca list. 🇪🇸

Four Seasons Mallorca might be one of our favorite new additions to the island.

Tucked away from the energy of Palma, it feels secluded but still has plenty going on. A true beach club, adults only and family pools, live music, great restaurants and cocktails, plus a vineyard right on property.

Dinner at Shima was a standout. Asian and Peruvian flavors, an incredible view and the umami cocktail with sesame infused vodka is a must.

They even offer a daily boat into the nearby town, which makes exploring easy.

Modern, social and beautifully done. Four Seasons Mallorca is definitely one to know.

A place you need to know about: Belmond La Residencia

Tucked into the mountainside village of Deià, La Residencia is spread across historic manor houses surrounded by olive and citrus groves, with views over the Tramuntana Mountains.

The hotel is known for its strong connection to art, beautiful grounds and rooms and suites that feel completely at home in Mallorca. Some even come with private plunge pools overlooking the village.

And Deià is just as special. A tiny stone village that has long attracted artists, writers and creatives, with winding streets, incredible restaurants and the Mediterranean just below.

Sometimes the hotel is the destination.

One of our favorite stays in Anguilla is Maliouhana. Boutique, charming, and full of character, this iconic resort captures the laid-back spirit of the island.
