Today we are making our office more efficient and sustainable by replacing all the old windows with a new model of windows, which is eco-sustainable and has a virtuous production cycle.
These high-quality, high-performance windows are manufactured and produced using 100% recyclable PVC. And we are happy with this choice.
In terms of innovation, the new TFL office windows are state-of-the-art and will provide excellent thermal insulation, reducing energy waste. Another step towards a sustainable office! So proud!

We are happy to announce and share with all of you TFL Tours' decision to officially engage in a path of corporate sustainability under the guidance and professional support of Travelife. After having adhered to and directly committed ourselves to the Safe Travel initiative promoted by WTTC, we decided to make a concrete contribution to environmental and social sustainability as well, by starting a plan to bring our company in line with Travelife standards and criteria and have engaged with the Travelife for Tour Operator & Travel Agents scheme.
Travelife is an internationally recognized, GSTC-Global Sustainable Tourism Council accredited training, management & certification program in sustainability in tourism.
The path of Travelife certification is divided into three phases: (1) Travelife Engaged, (2) Travelife Partner and (3) Travelife Certified, of which we are at stage (1) Travelife Engaged and working towards stage (2) Travelife Partner. The Travelife certification process is specific for companies operating in tourism and consists of a series of sustainability criteria that must be met. These cover the management, planning, monitoring and periodic reporting of the company's activities and the implementation of the tools needed to achieve sustainability and improve the company's social and environmental impacts.

Over the past few months, we have been implementing a number of tools and drafting documents useful to meet the sustainability criteria of the report. Few posts ago, we started introducing our team from our TFL President and CEO, Federica Tucci, whose interview is available for reading in the album ABOUT US, in our photos section on this page. And we want to continue, of course. At TFL, we are all very passionate about our job, but another essential component makes magic: Experience. Some of our team agents have a long and highly esteemed experience that they share every day, making us grow. One of them is Stefania. This is a short BIO: she enthusiastically started her collaboration with TFL Tours in 2007 offering her full reliability, strong dedication and a profound love of Italy in general and Tuscany in particular. She has been working as a licensed tour leader with cruise tours, and she is a licensed tour guide for Lucca and its province. Underlying her professionalism is her joy in helping foreign tourists to make their dream to visit Italy come true. She has studied English and French both in Italy and in London and Paris. She loves sharing her knowledge and, in the best Tuscan tradition, giving her honest advice to clients. On top of her qualifications in the travel business and multiple trainings on personal development, she adds the ability of creating a warm yet respectful rapport with people having attended human potential development and counselling schools for many years.

January is the time to present our second safe destination: Lucca. We are still in Tuscany, and Lucca is one of Tuscany's most beloved artistic towns. Nicknamed the 'City of a hundred churches' on account of its incredible number of worship places, it is unique among city-states for maintaining its independence until 1847. Its immense artistic and architectural heritage is ringed by the massive and intact circuit of defensive, gigantic walls built in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Today, they are among the few fortified systems that have arrived intact to our days. They run for more than 4 kilometres strengthened by no fewer than ten bastions. Lucca's people are very fond of their walls, they go there for walking and jogging, and on fine days, even for a picnic in the open air. A handful of few other things not to be missed: the Cathedral of San Martino, the garden in the sky situated at the top of the Guinigi Tower, the oldest square of Lucca, Piazza dell'Anfiteatro with its elliptical shape and the piazza and the sumptuous church of San Michele. But if guests take the chance to come and visit Lucca with us, they'll discover many other curiosities on the narrow streets of this old maze town. See you there!

This year has been very demanding and also transformative. In a way or another, it has changed us. We have learnt a lot about health, resilience and the sense of community. Hopefully, this lesson will stay with us for the rest of our lives. But now it is time to keep travel dreams alive, turn the page and set sails to new adventures in a brighter 2021. Cheers to 2021! From the 17th to 19th November, TFL attended the 2020 Ensemble Virtual Conference titled Onensemble as On Location Partner. The video we are sharing was the welcome video at our virtual exhibit booth. Yesterday was the last day, and we would like to say thank you, thank you, thank you to the entire Ensemble team and to all those who connected with us joining us at our table during the networking events, visiting our booth or writing us a message. During the conference, we had to get used to the idea of a virtual environment; to meet virtually is so very different, but it was an outstanding experience and it was excellent to connect again with all the advisors and the team. We all miss travelling and being together, even if it was only virtual, gave positive energy to all of us. Caterina Pierini, one of TFL Travel Consultants who attended the conference, read a message yesterday in one of the chats of the Sessions which well matches our philosophy: “Authenticity is more important than perfection”. This is definitively the essence of TFL Tours. We are a group of eight “authentic” ladies, so different from one another but just perfect together as a group! And even if it was a virtual conference this year, we did our best to bring the authenticity of TFL Tours with us at the event.
