The church bells pull me out of whatever I'm thinking about.

The smell from the bakery on the corner. The way the light hits the stone walls in the late afternoon.

I'm not always relaxed when I'm in Italy. I'm working. I have things on my mind like anyone does.

But Italy keeps interrupting me. In the best way.

It just makes it easier to stop. To look up. To come back to where I am.

That's honestly what I love most about being there.

The Val d'Orcia in southern Tuscany is what most people picture. Open hills. Cypress trees. The beautiful town of Pienza perched on a hilltop in the countryside. It earns every photo.

But drive north — past Florence, past Lucca — and the landscape completely changes.

The Apennines rise up. The valleys get deeper.

The towns feel more tucked in, less discovered.

It's rugged and green and quiet in a way the south isn't.

Both are Tuscany. But they're not the same trip.

If you're planning time in the region, it matters which one you're actually drawn to.

Where you base yourself changes everything — the food, the pace, the view out your window.

Which pulls at you more — the classic southern hills, or a wilder, less-visited northern Tuscany?

Here's what it looks like when we plan your Italy trip together.

It starts with a real conversation. Not a questionnaire. I want to know what Italy means to you, what you've been imagining, what kind of traveler you are when nobody's telling you where to go. That conversation is where your trip actually begins.

My team and I get to work. Within 7 days a beautiful digital itinerary lands in your inbox. Day by day. Built entirely around you. We refine it together until every detail feels exactly right. Until the trip you've been imagining for years is suddenly right there in front of you. Real. Detailed. Yours.

Two weeks before you leave, you meet your dedicated local liaison from our team on a video call. They already know your itinerary inside and out. Twenty-four hours before you arrive in Italy, they open a WhatsApp group just for you. They're there every morning and evening for the small things and the unexpected ones.

You don't have to think about a single thing. You just get to show up and let Italy do what Italy does.

Honestly, getting to be part of someone finally doing this trip is just a joy for me. Let's start planning your trip! Send me a DM or go to the link in bio.

Not every Italy trip looks the same. And honestly, it shouldn't.

After 35 years of traveling in Italy and now planning trips for couples at this stage of life, I've noticed that the people I work with fall into four distinct types.

Each one is looking for something different. Each one needs a different kind of trip.

Curious which one you are? Here's a two-minute quiz that tells you exactly what your Italy trip could look like: https://form.typeform.com/to/ZPW0suqd

This is what trip research actually looks like.

Not a desk. Not a website. Not a review on TripAdvisor.

A boat off the coast of Sardinia, with people who love Italy as much as I do, experiencing firsthand what I'm going to recommend to you.

Every FAM trip I take is really about you. The hotels I walk through, the experiences I say yes to, the ones I quietly cross off the list. All of it goes into what I can offer when we sit down to plan your trip together.

Sardinia earned its place on my list. Honestly, it exceeded it.

This spring, the team I’ve always planned your trips with asked me to join them.

What I’ve always given my clients hasn’t changed.

If anything, this made it more.

More access. More vetting.

More confidence that what ends up on your itinerary is genuinely the most authentic, culturally immersive Italy has to offer.

I just came back from Sardinia.

We sat with one of fewer than 10 people in the world who know how to make the rarest and most endangered pasta called “su filindeu”, which stands for “Threads of God” (the same woman that Stanley Tucci interviewed on his show).

She invited us into the process.

I kept thinking: this is what my clients get to experience.

The hotels were the same.

Little nuggets of gold I didn’t know existed.

Quietly luxurious, completely off the well-worn path.

Now they’re on my list for you.

I was already doing this work with everything I had.

Now I have the most incredible team behind me.

If Italy has been on your mind, I’d love to help you plan an unforgettable trip.

I was in the middle of overthinking everything.

And then the church bells rang.

I don’t know how long they’d been ringing before I actually heard them. But when I did, I stopped. Walked to the window. Opened the door. Took a breath.

This is what I came back to.

Italy has a way of doing that. Pulling you out of your head and back into the moment. You don’t have to chase it. You just have to stop long enough to let it find you.

That’s honestly what I want for you when you’re here. Not just the beautiful places. The moments where you forget what you were worried about.
