Tucked into 17 acres of pine forest above a secluded bay on Ischia’s northwest coast, Mezzatorre is one of those rare places that feels truly magical. Centered around a 16th-century Aragonese watchtower and fed by the island’s natural volcanic thermal springs, the setting is as captivating as the history that surrounds it.

Described by Truman Capote as “a strangely enchanted place,” Mezzatorre continues to live up to that reputation today.

Tucked along your walk in Capri is a small, family-run gelato stand that’s been around for over 75 years. It’s a simple stop, but one with real history behind it.

Known for its bright lemon gelato and fresh lemonade, everything is made using lemons grown right on the island, giving it that unmistakable Capri flavor: vibrant, fresh, and a little bit tart.

It’s an easy grab on your way to the Gardens, and a classic little taste of Capri that’s been loved for generations. We can confirm it’s delicious! 🍋

During Danielle’s recent journey along the Italian coast, she explored four distinct micro-regions, each offering a unique style and atmosphere.

Her first stop was Sorrento. This charming town is ideal for those who enjoy wandering without a set plan. Compared to neighboring hotspots like Positano and Amalfi, Sorrento is more relaxed, easier to navigate, and has significantly fewer stairs.

It also serves as an excellent home base for the region. The town offers easy access to the port for ferries and private boat excursions to the islands, and its proximity to Pompeii makes it simple to tour the ruins. She personally toured five distinct luxury hotels in the area and stayed at one of her favorites! This first hand knowledge helps us match you with the one that best fits your preferred style and pace!
