Bathed in golden Tuscan light, the Duomo di Siena — officially known as the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta — is one of Italy’s most breathtaking Gothic masterpieces. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, its iconic black-and-white marble façade reflects the symbolic colors of Siena, while the interior is a true work of art, from the incredible marble floor made of detailed biblical scenes to masterpieces by artists like Michelangelo, Donatello, and Bernini.

Every corner reveals something extraordinary, but one of its most unique features is the Piccolomini Library, covered in vibrant frescoes that feel almost untouched by time. Walking through this cathedral is like stepping into centuries of history, art, and devotion — a place that captures the soul of Siena in every detail.

The Capodanno Fiorentino, or Florentine New Year, is a unique celebration with deep historical roots in Florence. Unlike the standard New Year on January 1, Florentines traditionally marked the start of the year on March 25, coinciding with the Feast of the Annunciation. This date was significant both religiously and culturally, symbolizing new beginnings and the creation of the world’s salvation plan according to Christian tradition.

During the Capodanno Fiorentino, people in Florence would decorate their homes, exchange greetings, and participate in festive events. Historically, city officials and citizens would gather in public squares to celebrate, blending civic pride with religious observance. Today, the tradition is commemorated with historical reenactments, parades, and cultural events, keeping alive the city’s medieval and Renaissance heritage.

This celebration is a vivid reminder of Florence’s rich history and its unique way of intertwining civic life, religion, and culture.

Positano Daydream
Pastel houses tumble down cliffs toward the sea, their colors glowing under the Mediterranean sun. Mornings begin with espresso on a quiet terrace, the scent of citrus drifting through bougainvillea-lined alleys. Stone steps wind through the village, each turn revealing glimpses of blue beyond.

Afternoons stretch into golden hours by the shore — a linen umbrella, the soft crash of waves, a spritz in hand. Boats bob in the bay as time slows to the rhythm of the coast. Evenings unfold with fresh seafood, candlelight, and music echoing across the hills. In Positano, every detail feels suspended in a sun-soaked dream — timeless, effortless, unforgettable.

Tuscany is home to some of Italy’s most iconic wine regions, each with its own distinct character and history.

Bolgheri – A coastal gem that rose to fame in the late 20th century with its so-called “Super Tuscans.” Here, international grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot thrive, producing elegant, powerful reds with a Bordeaux-style influence.

Montalcino – A medieval hilltop town known for Brunello di Montalcino, one of Italy’s most prestigious wines. Made from 100% Sangiovese (locally known as Sangiovese Grosso), Brunello is bold, structured, and perfect for aging.

Chianti – The heart of Tuscan wine tradition. Rolling hills, cypress-lined roads, and vineyards producing the famous Chianti Classico, made primarily from Sangiovese grapes. Expect bright acidity, cherry notes, and a touch of earthiness.

Beyond Chianti, Montalcino, and Bolgheri, Tuscany also offers lesser-known treasures like Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, the coastal Morellino di Scansano, and Carmignano, one of the region’s oldest appellations. Each brings a unique twist on Tuscany’s winemaking soul.

Whether you’re drawn to tradition or modern innovation, Tuscany offers a glass for every palate.

Pasta in Rome isn’t just food—it’s part of daily life, rooted in tradition and passed down through generations. Roman osterias are those warm, tucked-away spots with handwritten menus and wooden tables, where time-honored recipes come to life. Time slows down as you sit back, enjoy good conversation over a glass of wine, and prepare to taste tradition in every bite.

Here are four Roman pasta classics you can’t miss:
Amatriciana – A rich tomato-based sauce with crispy guanciale (cured pork cheek), pecorino romano, and just a touch of chili. Bold and comforting.
Cacio e Pepe – Deceptively simple, made only with pecorino romano and cracked black pepper, bound together by silky pasta water. It’s the essence of Roman cuisine.
Carbonara – No cream here. Just guanciale, pecorino romano, egg, and black pepper coming together in perfect balance.
Gricia – The lesser-known cousin of carbonara, without the egg. A rustic combination of guanciale, pecorino romano, and black pepper—deeply flavorful and satisfying.

Now that you know the recipes, the only thing left to choose is the shape of pasta to pair with these sauces. While there are no strict rules, everyone has their own favorite match. From bucatini and spaghetti to mezze maniche or rigatoni, we believe there are no wrong choices—just delicious ones. Buon appetito!

Lake Como Escape
A daydream set to water and stone — gliding across Lake Como in a classic wooden boat, the kind that feels made for slow summers and silk scarves in the wind. We drifted from village to village — Bellagio’s elegance, Lenno’s quiet charm, Varenna’s colorful romance — each one offering its own magic.

We wandered through centuries-old gardens, their paths shaded by cypress trees and spilling with flowers. Between stops, we lingered over lakeside lunches, sipped aperitivo as the sun turned golden, and watched the hills blush into dusk. It was an escape stitched together by still water, timeless beauty, and the kind of slow moments you wish you could bottle forever.

Montepulciano Serenity

The hills surrounding Montepulciano roll like soft waves beneath the Tuscan sky, stitched together by rows of ancient vines and olive groves. Their gentle curves cradle the medieval town like a crown, rising and falling in perfect harmony with the rhythm of the seasons. In the golden light of late afternoon, these hills glow with a honeyed warmth, their cypress-lined ridges casting long shadows over fields of wildflowers and wheat. From a distance, Montepulciano perches elegantly above them all, its stone towers and red-tiled roofs blending into the earthy palette of the landscape. It’s a place where time lingers—where every view from the hilltops feels like a Renaissance painting coming to life.
