The start of another beautiful spring day and also the start of a new vintage

Spring is nearly here.
A vine farmer is preparing our vineyard for new vines. Tash is supervising the works.
She decided this morning to start the courtyard garden early. Sometimes we could do without her help!
Blue skies and sunshine mean that temperatures here are better than Melbourne!

Well here we sit at Melbourne airport waiting to leave. It's been a hectic 27 something days of catching up with friends where possible here and in Perth. Had a blast thanks heaps for catching up when you could with drinks,meals and for Gen fish and chips. As per many conversations we hope you visit us soon. So in 25 hours we're back at Casa Langhe di Mango to get ready for the summer season. Arrivederci Australia

Well today it is 6 years that we arrived in Italy and started our adventure. In those years so far we have purchased a property in the Langhe , navigated our way through the Italian beaurocracy, renovated the property's 3 houses, set up 2 as holiday rentals, met some great people and have become good friends, experienced the great wine and food of the Langhe, travelled a bit , made plenty of mistakes and wouldn't change a thing.

After down time of almost 9 months, the works begin yet again.
We hope to see a vineyard being planted in the Spring.

Morning walk with the dog and you get to see the sunrise showing the snow covered French Alps. It's going to be a glorious bright day in the Langhe.

Today is the day we officially close our 2024 season.

All the outdoor and pool furniture is packed away, umbrella canopies have been washed swimming pool closed and Winter tyres are being fitted this afternoon.

In reality, it's Autumn but you wouldn't know it. Here we are enjoying some time out in the sun and it's 15 November! Crazy!
