Iโm Aurora, and besides the incredible beauty of Delta del Po, there is another thing I love about it โ you never really know what story youโll come across. ๐ค
It was a warm Sunday in March, the kind that quietly invites you out.
From La Villetta, I drove just 25 minutes to Lido delle Nazioni โ one of those simple, easy escapes that never feel ordinary.
As I parked, I saw him, looking peaceful, standing beside a beautiful horse. And I just knew I had to say hello. His name is Giancarlo. And every Sunday, for years, he comes here all the way from Reggio Emilia โ to walk for a couple of hours by the sea with his horse, Lucidea.
The sea, he told me, is more beautiful here. And so is everything around it.
Then he smiled and added something else โ heโs been coming to the same friggitoria by the lake since he was 14. Back then, he came all the way by scooterโฆ just for the fritto misto.
Some habits stay. Some places call you back. We said goodbye, and he drove away with his girl. And I continued my walk by the sea, thinking how places like this are not just destinationsโฆ they become part of peopleโs lives.
