🌿 Meet the dik-dik — one of Africa’s smallest antelopes, standing just 30–40 cm tall. These shy creatures are often seen in pairs, as they form lifelong monogamous bonds. 💕 Their name comes from the alarm call they make when startled, a sharp “dik-dik” sound used to warn others of danger.
Despite their size, dik-diks play a big role in the ecosystem — browsing on shrubs, dispersing seeds, and serving as prey for predators like eagles, jackals, and leopards. Spotting them on safari is always a special treat! 🐾✨
