Though young and still relatively small compared to that of Kenya or West Africa, the country’s fashion industry has experienced immense growth in the past several years. Rwandan fashion is quickly becoming well known and beloved across East Africa, placing Rwanda solidly on the continent’s fashion map.

🇬🇧 Handicraft is big in Rwanda.
Artisans in Rwanda use locally grown sisal and sweetgrass to make these beautiful baskets.
Rwandan handicraft is an essential part of the Rwandan culture - woven into the fabric of everyday life as vessels for food and grains, household catchalls and gifts for important ceremonies.
One baskets takes around 6 days to make.

🇮🇹 L’artigianato è molto importante in Ruanda. Gli artigiani Ruandesi usano sisal e sweetgrass coltivati localmente per creare ad esempio questi splendidi oggetti.
L’artigianato è una parte essenziale della cultura ruandese, e lo si trova nella vita di tutti i giorni sotto forma di vasi per cibo e cereali, catacombe domestiche o souvenir per importanti cerimonie.
Un cestello di paglia richiede circa 6 giorni per essere realizzato.

Beautifully unique and regal, it can be spotted inside a Rwandan farmyard.
