We are the only specialist in fishing trips in Sudan Red Sea and Socotra Island, we provide charter and trips for popping, jigging and fly fishing

Wild Sea Expedition budded from our endless passion for fishing and traveling over wild destinations. We are a small crew of naturalists who have been sailing, diving, and fishing through a number of areas over the Red Sea (Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, and Djibouti), the Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean to discover places outside of the touristic route. This passion for discovering has taken us not only to buy a motor catamaran, which is the only specialized on fishing in Sudan but also to provide fishermen with a camp in Socotra Island. (For further information about it, please, look at the following paragraph “our boat”). We ground our employment on discovering uncontaminated destinations in order to offer passionate anglers the chance to fish some of the last earthly paradises. As we hold that every journey is a great opportunity to deeply understand the planet we inhabit, Wild Sea Expedition is pleased to offer our customers not only the fishing itself but also naturalistic and cultural experiences. Wild Sea Expedition is grounded on these environment-friendly points:
We operate with responsible manners supporting the environmental conservation;
We do not fish for immediate consumption as fishes are always returned in excellent condition;
We always employ barbless hooks and make a strong effort to ensure fish’s survival. We constantly implement tackle, boats, and systems use.

Our Djibouti season is starting soon, and autumn has always been a period of consistent fishing and memorable moments in these waters.

Cubera is one of the cool species you can find in Gabon, but what’s even cooler is that you fish for them from the sandbanks, and there is nothing where they can reef you.

That means you can fight them on lighter tackle and actually land them. Sizes vary, with some seriously big fish, and possible giants among them.

And all of this while elephants are walking along the beach behind you. The sound of the incoming waves dominates the ambient sound, with the whole scene feeling completely wild. It’s just pure magic.

The 2027 Djibouti season is already shaping up nicely.

Our spring and autumn departures are booking well, with only a limited number of weeks and individual spots still available.

Djibouti is a fascinating fishing destination because of the sheer variety of environments you can explore. Sitting between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, its waters are influenced by strong currents and nutrient-rich conditions, creating a productive environment for a wide range of predators.

Our trips combine both boat and shore fishing, allowing us to approach the fish in completely different ways. From casting poppers and stickbaits from rugged volcanic shorelines to exploring reefs, channels and deeper water from the boat, every day offers a different fishing scenario.

Giant Trevally are one of our main targets, but they are certainly not the only reason to come. Depending on conditions and location, we encounter a variety of powerful reef and pelagic predators, making Djibouti a destination where you never quite know what the next cast might bring.

And then there is the place itself. Dramatic volcanic landscapes, barren coastlines, clear water, and the feeling of being genuinely far away from the usual fishing destinations are all part of the experience.
