Wild Sea Expedition budded from our endless passion for fishing and traveling over wild destinations. We are a small crew of naturalists who have been sailing, diving, and fishing through a number of areas over the Red Sea (Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, and Djibouti), the Gulf of Aden, and the Indian Ocean to discover places outside of the touristic route. This passion for discovering has taken us not on

ly to buy a motor catamaran, which is the only specialized on fishing in Sudan but also to provide fishermen with a camp in Socotra Island. (For further information about it, please, look at the following paragraph “our boat”). We ground our employment on discovering uncontaminated destinations in order to offer passionate anglers the chance to fish some of the last earthly paradises. As we hold that every journey is a great opportunity to deeply understand the planet we inhabit, Wild Sea Expedition is pleased to offer our customers not only the fishing itself but also naturalistic and cultural experiences. Wild Sea Expedition is grounded on these environment-friendly points:
We operate with responsible manners supporting the environmental conservation;
We do not fish for immediate consumption as fishes are always returned in excellent condition;
We always employ barbless hooks and make a strong effort to ensure fish’s survival. We constantly implement tackle, boats, and systems use.

Unforgettable moments from our shore fishing sessions in Djibouti.

There’s something different about the light in Djibouti. It hits the landscape in a way that makes the dramatic, ancient terrain feel almost otherworldly, landscapes shaped by immense seismic forces and time.

Standing on the shore, you can feel the power of the waves crashing against the rocks beneath your feet. You cast, and cast, and cast again… until suddenly, everything changes. The rod loads up, and you’re fighting with everything you have just to stay balanced on the rocks while trying to land the fish.
Djibouti is raw, wild and unforgiving, but that’s exactly what makes it so special.

When targeted correctly, Napoleon wrasse are a very achievable species to catch in Djibouti. Although they generally prefer smaller stickbaits, the bigger fish will sometimes hit a popper or a diving stickbait. The real challenge, however, begins after the strike, keeping them out of the reef is a completely different story.
