🏛️ Workshops and Learning in the Heart of the Golden Mile 🌋

Our students had the chance to dive into an engaging series of workshops at the stunning Villa Campolieto, the main venue of the International School of the Osservatorio Universitario sul Turismo. Located on the famous Miglio d’Oro (Golden Mile), this extraordinary setting provided the perfect backdrop for discussions on tourism, culture, and heritage preservation.

The Miglio d’Oro stretches along the base of Mount Vesuvius and is home to numerous Vesuvian villas—masterpieces of 18th-century architecture built by the Neapolitan aristocracy. These villas, like Villa Campolieto, boast breathtaking views and tell the story of a time when the nobility sought out the beauty and tranquility of this area, creating a unique blend of nature, art, and history.

The workshops here gave our students not only the chance to develop their professional skills but also to immerse themselves in the rich historical and cultural context of one of Italy’s most treasured landscapes.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making these sessions a success, and to our students for their energy and dedication! 🌿✨

🌍 Exploring Ancient Wonders with Future Scholars at Herculaneum 🌿

Monday 21 October, as part of the International School of the University Tourism Observatory, we had the privilege to visit the incredible archaeological site of Herculaneum. Our talented students had the opportunity to experience firsthand the rich cultural heritage of this ancient city, a perfect example of how history and tourism intertwine.

From the perfectly preserved ruins to the fascinating stories of this once-thriving Roman town, our excursion was not just a journey back in time but also an invaluable learning experience for all of us. It was wonderful to witness the enthusiasm, curiosity, and thoughtful discussions that arose as we walked through these ancient streets together.

A big thank you to our students for their active participation and to the brilliant team behind this successful initiative. Stay tuned for more insights from this unforgettable experience! 📚🛤️
