Today is our day! Today is the
International Tourist Guide Day!

Every Year on 21st February professional Tourist Guides honour their job that is the main connection between cultural heritage and tourism sector of each destination all around the globe.

Qualified Tourist Guides play a strategic role in fostering cultural understanding and responsible travel offering memorable experience to visitors and translating the most genuine meaning of the place they explore.

Anna, today in Porto Rotondo, offered her
multidisciplinary skills in history, art, interpersonal communication and group management giving her contribution to the International Day of Tourist Guides, to visitors and friends that joined her in this special day.

Thank you Anna and thank to all my colleagues Guides in Sardinia for the beautiful job they do every day with their involvement that enriches travelers' journey and promotes cultural sensitivity and authenticity.

A special thanks goes to the Fondazione Porto Rotondo for the kind collaboration.

Our special guests from Thailand came to Sardinia to discover why Sardinian Centenarians live a long happy life.

We took them on a amazing Culinary Private Tour in the Barbagia to find out why.

We met some old friends there and they were happy to tell our guests the stories of their lives.

The story always started with: " I worked as shepherd my whole life, I was used to produce and eat everyday pecorino cheese made from grass-fed sheep; I like the fresh air of our mountais and I never said 'no' to a glass of cannonau wine with friends".

That was such an incredible experience.
Something that will stay forever in our memories.

On the road again...
Yesterday was the second day of our Sardinia Round Trip with our dear guests from Oregon☺️

1st stop at the Sacred Well of Santa Cristina. We got a bit emotional there celebrating the power of the moon🥹

2nd stop at the Giants of Monte Prama in Cabras, fascinated from their titanic beauty😲

3rd stop of the day at the Great Kindom of Nuraghe Barumini ...that was the cherry on the top 😍

We got a bit of Sheep-Traffic on the way to Cagliari 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑 but
We arrived just on time for enjoying a well deserved Sunset - Aperitivo at the Poetto Beach in Cagliari.

That was a great day again!

This is Day n* 1 of the first tour of the year😁
On board: amazing American guests from Oregon 🇺🇸

We were asked for private archaeological tour around the island: the very best in 48 hours⏰️

Very challenging but we got it 💪

1st stop: the spectacular Giants Tombs in Arzachena with its mystic power.

2nd stop the Great Elephant of Castelsardo with a precious piece of archaeological evidence in its belly.

3rd stop relaxing and panoranic walking in the city and fried calamari stop on the way.

Next stop...➡️➡️➡️ Monte D'accoddi in its magnificent golden "aurea" before sunset and drop off in the medieval heart of Alghero for the night 🌙

Very excited for tomorrow😆
